My Full Story

My journey began in 2013 when I was 13 years old playing softball for my high school and travel team. At the time, I was not really moving my body other than what I would do at practice and games. At the age of 16, when I got my drivers license, I joined a commercial gym to begin lifting weights on my own. As a year passed, no matter how hard I had worked out, I felt that my body was not changing, so I thought to give crossfit a try. Although I did love the higher intensity and motivation from the trainer, I still was not seeing much progress, therefore, after a year, I left crossfit and rejoined a different commercial gym. After years of working out and eating the “right” foods, my body was not changing and my disturbing symptoms were increasing. These symptoms consisted of fatigue, brain fog, digestive discomfort after every meal, inflammed skin, painful menstrual cramps and dreadful PMS. Throughout my teenage years, I always thought I was eating “healthy” and feeding my body what it needed because of how our food is labeled and what I saw fitness influencers sharing all over social media. I thought working out 6 days a week and eating what our country and fitness influencers call “healthy” food would make me look and feel good, but it didn’t. After many vials of blood drawn, trips to the GYNO, GI, and dermatologist my symptoms were not being resolved. I would be told my lab work is “normal”, be offered birth control to help with my cramps/PMS, be told to buy Benefiber or Metamucil, and be given a medicated prescription cream. I was tired of being told this information over and over again with no real resolutions; my frustration reached its highest, so I started to do my own research. From years of trial and error, I finally learned how to properly move and fuel my body, for my body. I now finally feel comfortable in my own skin; my mental health and energy has significantly improved, I no longer have digestive discomfort after meals, my skin has never been better and my menstrual cycle is regular with minimal cramping and PMS. Avoiding the band aid that all doctors wanted to put on top of my symptoms was the best decision I had ever made for my health.

As I approached my freshman year of college, I enrolled in my local University’s nursing program. After a short period of time, I quickly realized nursing was not an area I was interested in. I stayed in a similar direction within the health field, which was Health Promotion and Wellness. Once graduated, I wanted to take on a career as a Health Coach; someone who helps and encourages others on their own health and wellness journey. After some time, I could not find a career that fit my exact interest and goals. Thats when I decided to go back to school and further my education even more. I enrolled at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition which is where I officially became a certified Health Coach. The time I spent with IIN was truly remarkable and unforgettable. I had the opportunity to further my knowledge in the health and wellness industry, meet amazing like-minded people, and most important, found what I am called to do. As a health coach, I am here to help and guide you through your journey so you can start living the life you were given and feel good doing it.

I have been able to help family and friends heal and transform their lives by sharing what I have learned first-hand specifically using a holistic approach. I combine my love and passion for nutrition and healthy living to enable those to feel their best by addressing the root cause of their symptoms and simply bettering their healthy lifestyle.

I hope to work with more clients individually, help them with personal health goals and share my knowledge throughout their journey! Here’s to a start to ahealthieryyou♡
